ABS-580: Self-propelled passenger stairs available for rent
At stands without boarding bridges or when jetways are unavailable, passenger stairs directly impact boarding efficiency. The TLD ABS-580, available for rent from AES, does not require a tow tractor: it is self-propelled, powered by a 38 kW Perkins diesel engine with automatic Graziano PST transmission. The operator drives it directly to the aircraft door, with no additional towing equipment.
Self-propelled passenger stairs for narrow-body and wide-body aircraft
Its adjustment range from 2,200 mm to 5,800 mm (86″ to 228″) covers the entire commercial fleet, from A318 to A321 and B737 up to B747, B777, A330 and A380, without changing equipment between rotations. With a capacity of 74 passengers, it ranks among the highest in its category, reducing boarding and disembarkation times on every turnaround. The telescopic stair design maintains a constant incline across the full adjustment range, ensuring consistent comfort and safety regardless of aircraft type.
In the event of a power failure, a manual emergency hydraulic pump allows operation of all hydraulic functions from the driver’s cabin, ensuring the stairs are never stuck in a raised position.
